Braemar Townhouse Report:  November-December 2013

If you asked a person on the street about the year end real estate market, they Braemar Garage Townhouse in Bristowwould most likely think that the Braemar real estate market would slow down then.  November is the start of the holiday season with Thanksgiving, followed by the festive December with Christmas, Hanukkah and New Year’s Eve.  I’m here to tell you that is absolutely not true.  In this edition of the Braemar Townhouse Report, focusing on the last two months of 2013, you will see why.

For starters, there were seven townhouses in Braemar sold between November and December. Apparently the holiday months get people in the mood to find a home.  The highest sold price was $290,500.  The lowest sold price was $235,007.  Odd number on that last one.  Perhaps a James Bond fan bought it.  When you take the average of all seven sales, you get our new average market value for a Braemar townhouse of $266,215.  While that is over a 2% decrease in average value since last report, it is over a 12.5% increase in average value since last year.
